Nutty Turmeric Latte

Indulge in this warm, nutty and holistic drink as an alternative to your regular latte



Ingredients:

Milk - 2 cups

Turmeric - 1 tsp

Sugar - 1 or 2 tsp

Powdered Cardamom - crushed, 1/2 tsp

Saffron Strands - 1 pinch

Mixed nuts (Almonds, Pistachios) - Crushed, about 1 tbsp


Method:

1. In a heavy bottom saucepan, warm 1 cup of milk

2. Add turmeric, sugar, saffron, and crushed cardamom and keep stirring in medium flame

3. Bring the milk to boil. Strain this to two glasses. It will be half full in each glass

4. In the same saucepan, add the remaining 1 cup of milk and bring it to a boil.

5. Using an electric beater, beat the milk till it starts turning frothy


Serve your Latte:

Slowly start adding the froth to both the glasses. Pour in the remaining milk to the glasses

Garnish with crushed nuts. Add a straw, sit back, relax, sip and enjoy!
