Easy Crunchy Ladoos



No Diwali is complete without Ladoos. These are easy, sugar free, gluten free treats that crumble in your mouth!



Ingredients:

Rice Crispy Cereal or Puffed Rice - 2 cups powdered

Ghee - 3/4 cup

Powdered Jaggery - 1 cup

Crushed Cardamom - 1 tsp

Milk or Water - 1/4 cup

Extra Rice Crispy Powder for coating - 1/4 cup





Method:

  1. Heat a heavy bottom saucepan on low to medium flame. Add the powdered Rice Crispies. Roast this for about 5 minutes.

  2. Mix in the Ghee, jaggery, cardamom, and roast for 10-15 minutes until all the ingredients mix in and the jaggery melts.

  3. Remove from stove and cool it down till its easy to touch and roll.

  4. Add in the milk or water to this mix. Slowly start rolling them into tiny balls, size of a ping pong Ball. Roll them over the extra powdered rice crispy to give a crunchy coating.

  5. Store in air tight container. This will make about 20 ladoos!
